About Byron, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Byron is a small town with about 3,000 residents. The state of Georgia, in general, is known for its beautiful greenery, Southern hospitality and, of course, the juicy peaches. The weather is perfect year-round because it is rarely bitterly cold. Snow is a rarity and it doesn’t often dip below freezing. However, snow and ice do pop up and surprise locals from time to time. If you love warm weather, great food, and friendly neighbors all in a small town setting, then look no further than Byron!
Though it is a small town, it is quite near to Macon, which is a bustling urban environment and home to more than half a dozen colleges. As the weather cools each fall, the 30,000 students of Macon, come flooding back in for another year of intellectual and cultural stimulation. Mercer University, Middle Georgia State College, Wesleyan College, and Central Georgia Technical College are all based in Macon. In addition the following schools have satellite campuses in the city: Fort Valley State University, Georgia College & State University, Troy University, Virginia College, and Miller-Motte Technical College. No matter what you are looking to study, Macon has a school that will match your needs and your budget.
Macon is also home to a wide array of museums about wide range of events and topics. There is something for everyone – whether you are a rock and roll fan or a sports lover or a lover of the arts. Make a hot summer day of exploring the museums, all while keeping cool and comfortable indoors. Bring the kids along for a family learning experience. Some of the museums that you will find in Macon are: the Allman Brothers Band Museum (which is in honor of the band which got its start in the town), the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, an interactive children’s museum, the largest African American history museum in Georgia (The Tubman African American Museum).
